Brynne Conroy

Brynne Conroy started her career as a personal finance writer in 2011. She has written for publications like Forbes, USA Today, Business Insider and Synchrony Bank’s "Money Matters" blog. Her financial insights have been featured on outlets such as Jean Chatzky’s "HerMoney," "Good Housekeeping" and the "Ologies" podcast.

On top of her freelance work, Conroy is the creator of the popular women’s finance site, Femme Frugality, which has been nominated for numerous awards since its inception. She is also the coordinator of DISABILIFINANCE, an educational platform that provides courses on disability finance topics with some of the top experts in the nation. Conroy is a sought-after speaker, with past engagements at Vanderbilt University, the 529 Conference and the Financial Planning Association.

Conroy is the author of "The Feminist Financial Handbook," which was an Amazon #1 New Release across multiple categories and has been referenced and put forth as recommended reading in academic textbooks. Conroy’s personal finance expertise has earned grants from PEN America (2020), the American Society of Journalists and Authors (2024) and the Plutus Foundation (2025). She received an industry award for Best Financial Content for Underserved Communities in 2022.
